Growing Up - Monday Morning Poetry
Every relationship heads towards surrender on both sides. Either you surrender to the nature and love you found, or to the friction that drags you away.
Thoughts
I don’t feel comfortable to directly point out what this poem is about, but I’m sure it can be understood. In the end, the concrete is irrelevant. What is relevant is that many of our relationships move slowly, quietly, and in a soft manner over time.
Bold moves are rare, and so it happens that we don’t know when we lost someone and we can’t figure out a why anymore. The person is just gone, literally or figuratively.
This happens to both parties of the relationship. You can suddenly feel distant and it crept into you over time, like wind creeps through a crack in a window.
I can’t tell you when I lost, what I feel now I never had.
Every relationship heads to surrender on both sides. Either you surrender to the nature and love you find in it and release your defences — to soak in the new dynamic.
Or you surrender to the slow friction that makes you defensive and keeps your heart at a distance. It will suddenly be clear as day, and you have to move on without getting stuck in the past or the other person's faults.
I hope you have a grandiose week!
All the best,
Tim
