Sun Is Leaking - Cerulean Poetry
Opportunities and improvements don’t always show up in full force, and often, a painful process is attached to them. But we do it; we take the fear and hurt inside of us, rip it out, and move forward.
Sun Is Leaking
Dig up your fears, The sun is leaking, Through the blinds. Knees hug salted ground, Hands scratch damp dirt, Blackening finger nails. Bath them in the light, Raise for all to see, As you discard them.

Thoughts
This is about spring, but it is also about us. Opportunities and improvements don’t always show up in full force, and often, a painful process is attached to them. But we do it; we take the fear and hurt inside of us, rip it out, and move forward.
All it might take is to follow the light however it looks. Maybe the spring sun is simply energizing you, or perhaps a friend is willing to help, you discover a place you can go, or an action you can take opens itself up to you.
You will regret what you didn’t do much more than what you did. A life boarded up by fear and pain is a small life. When changing feels like driving a stake through your heart, consider the upside.

Thank you for reading my poetry.
All the best & godspeed!
the idea of the painful, dirty process necessary for moving forward really comes through. Your poem evoked an image of pulling weeds for me.
Great poem and the audio just knocks it out of the park.
